What is Extreme Member Value? How do ASQ member units contribute to the overall member experience?
ASQ member units–divisions, sections, and other communities–have a major impact on a member’s overall experience with ASQ. The Ideas to Action Gathering will engage member leaders in strategic dialogue focused on opportunities for growth and development; of each of you as leaders in a global organization and of your member unit.
Member leaders throughout the Society are invited to this event to explore how to deliver ultimate experiences and how to accomplish breakthrough results to better serve the needs of our members.
Message From President Mike Nichols to the Member Leader Community Last September, nearly 200 member leaders met for the fourth Ideas to Action Gathering in Milwaukee to explore how we as a Society can better serve our members and provide Extreme Member Value. As we move forward, I want to keep you in the loop on the efforts that have emerged. The results of your good work were collected and the patterns and themes that surfaced were summarized to create an action agenda. This action agenda is available, by clicking on the link below, for you to examine and share with your members. Action items designated as "Low Hanging Fruit" have already been carried out (Section Mini-Web Sites, Mentoring Program) or are currently underway (Shared Best Practices, Discussion Board Improvements, Section/Division Marketing Kits). Those items designated as "Already Underway" are continuing as planned and those designated as "Key Themes" will be used to shape next year’s strategic and business planning. Once again, we are working together to build a strong community for the good of our members, the Society and the future of the quality movement. Finally, we have set aside two hours for us all to get together again. Please join us on May 3 at the World Conference in Houston for the Ideas to Action Spring Gathering. We need you there to actively participate and contribute. Let’s continue to talk, listen and learn from one another. More details to come soon as planning gets underway. Hope to see you there!
